The grip is textured on all sides of the grip. The grip is secured to the weapon by a single Allen bolt straight through the top and a wingnut on the other side, a design which is proven to result in a tough long lasting grip to the rail. This foregrip is hollow on the inside which serves to keep weight at a minimum
